Cardiovascular Services department provides specialized care to
patients throughout their surgical and procedural experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Nurse Manager - Pre-Surgery
Clinic works directly with the Perioperative Surgical Home
Medical Director(s) to support the success of the Perioperative
Surgical Home Clinic at St. Charles Health System-Bend and manage
clinical and operational activities of the Pre-Surgery Clinic. This
position directly manages caregivers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Responsible for budget development, regular monitoring,
accountability and meeting all operational targets for all areas
within span of control. Hires, directs, coaches and monitors the performance of all
direct reports, to develop and maintain a high performance team
that meets organizational and department goals. Monitors and ensure all direct reports are current with
compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages
all organizational safety directives and goals. Provides and oversees team’s delivery of customer service in a
manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and
accurate. Collaborates with teams to review processes and
identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying Value
Improvement Practice concepts and tools. Creates a healing environment that supports all aspects of care,
respects the wholeness of the individual, and demonstrates
therapeutic presence through attitudes and behaviors that enhance
the care experience for patients and caregivers. Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in
all respects. Supports Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean) principles of

champion of change. Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers,

EDUCATION Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN or Bachelor’s Degree in a related
field. Preferred: MSN or Master’s degree in related
field LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION Required: Current RN licensure with the Oregon
State Board of Nursing Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to meet St. Charles
Health System driving requirements Ability to travel to business functions/trainings/meetings and
all St. Charles Health System worksites AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider
certification Preferred: N/A EXPERIENCE Required: 5 years nursing experience, 1 year leadership
experience. Preferred: Nursing experience in a perioperative or
procedural department. Three years leadership experience. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) required to perform the job safely. ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION: General: Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interact
with a diverse population and professionally represent St. Charles
Health System. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels
within St. Charles Health System and external

use of electronic medical record keeping systems and MS Office PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard
operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability
to hear normal speech level. Frequently (50%): Sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing
or pulling 1-25 pounds. The use and operation of a motor vehicle
for Home Health and Wound Caregivers. Occasionally (25%): Bending,
stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/step-stool
(varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or
pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered
speech level. Rarely (10%): Climbing stairs. Never (0%): Climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by
area), operation of a motor vehicle. Exposure to Elemental Factors Rarely (10%): Wet/slippery area, chemical
solution. Never (0%): Heat, cold, noise, dust, vibration,

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus in the amount of
$10,000.00*. To qualify for the bonus, candidates must not have
been employed by St. Charles Health System in the last 6
months.
