US Remote 90,000 - 130,000 USD per year

Software Engineer (Developer Tools)

As a Software Engineer at Indeed, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and maintaining developer tools that support every Indeed engineer to quickly and reliably deliver accessible and secure products that keep user data private. -

On the Compliance Engineering team, you will be working to support Indeed's software engineering and quality assurance community. You will build and integrate tools into Indeed's developer workflows that make finding and fixing problems easier and allow engineers to have better insights into the effectiveness of their designs, code, and tests. That includes leveraging open-source technologies as well as Indeed's internal software development tools. Learn and improve our development stack and processes from the inside out.

**WHO YOU ARE**

- BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience

- 3+ years of experience using Java OR Python
- Service-level mindset for a wide range of contributors
- Have a strong sense of ownership in every tool you build

**We Get Excited About Candidates With:**

- Experience with static analysis tools (e.g. Tidelift, Snyk, aXe)

- Experience developing test tools or frameworks
- Experience or interest in software development life cycle tools

**Recent Projects:**

- Developing automated screen reader test bed to test our websites with NVDA.

- Automated a11y scanning to dynamically run axe-core over all OneHost platform plugins during build and test in our CI system.
- Support teams' use of open-source axe-core libraries to write their own accessibility tests.

**SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER**

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
