Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in a 10-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit • Recent open heart recovery nurse experience required • Must be trained to care for immediate post-operative open heart patients from first day • Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable cardiac patients • Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker patients, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis patients • Operate advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, multiple IVs • Care for patients requiring short-term ventilation support and both noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support • Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation • Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge including discharge planning • Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff • Work with minimal supervision implementing established policies and procedures • Required certifications: Current Montana RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS • High school diploma and degree from accredited nursing program required • Critical care, CVICU, and open heart experience preferred Facility: This medical facility features 36 licensed inpatient beds and 10 ICU beds, with expanding cardiac services designed to handle higher acuity patients.
