Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a progressive care unit setting. This role involves managing a diverse patient population with conditions such as heart catheterization recovery, congestive heart failure, COPD, renal failure, sepsis, and a variety of surgical cases. The nurse will autonomously perform skilled assessments and interventions, including operating advanced medical equipment and managing central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, and ventilatory support. Responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, offering physical, emotional, and cultural support, and delivering care from admission through discharge. The position also entails clinical leadership duties, including precepting staff and providing guidance to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support personnel. Flexibility to support medical-surgical nursing needs is required. Key Qualifications and Experience: - Current Montana RN licensure required. - Certifications mandatory: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or completion within 6 months of hire). - Preferred certifications: EPNC and TNCC. - Proficient in operating multiple IV pumps, advanced equipment including arterial and invasive lines, chest tubes, and managing patients on noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support. - Solid knowledge in cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation, and advanced nursing principles. - Pediatric nursing experience highly desirable. - Expertise in medication management, including heparin, diltiazem, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, and dopamine.
