Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Great Falls, MT Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,398 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU Duration: Permanent Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current State RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required Must-Have: - Advanced nursing principles and procedures - Critical care and CVICU experience preferred - Ability to operate advanced medical equipment Description: The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse will provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit. This includes providing physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to the patient. Anticipated patient populations include pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and a broad scope of surgical services. Staff will expect patients in relative stability while recognizing diagnoses may require skilled assessment and intervention tools for potential deteriorating conditions. The nurse will be required to operate advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, A-lines, multiple IVs, and care for patients requiring short-term ventilation support. The nurse will also care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse has the ability to assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision. The nurse acts as a clinical leader and assists with precepting staff. Direct patient care will be provided from admission to discharge in all aspects of care, including discharge planning.
