Responsibilities Provide high-quality post?operative open heart and
CVICU nursing care for immediate recovery patients Assess, monitor
and manage hemodynamic status using invasive monitoring including
A?lines and central lines Operate and manage ventilator support and
multiple IV pump infusions for critically ill patients Interpret
cardiac telemetry and EKGs to detect and act on acute changes in
rhythm and perfusion Manage chest tubes, nasogastric tubes and
continuous bladder irrigation as required Collaborate with
providers, charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to develop and
implement patient care plans Serve as a clinical leader and
preceptor to support staff development and safe, effective care
Coordinate admissions through discharge and participate in
discharge planning and family education Qualifications Current
Montana RN licensure (required) Recent CVICU or open heart recovery
experience (able to care for immediate post?op open heart patients)
Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS required per posting Proven
ability to manage invasive lines, chest tubes, ventilator support
and multiple IV pumps Strong cardiac telemetry and EKG
interpretation skills Clinical leadership or precepting experience
is a plus Education High School Diploma or equivalent Degree from
an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required Knowledge &
Skills Post?op cardiac care and open heart recovery Hemodynamic
monitoring and invasive line management Ventilator and noninvasive
ventilatory support Cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation IV
management with multiple infusion pumps Basic and advanced critical
care nursing principles Patient assessment and rapid recognition of
clinical deterioration Experience across progressive care and
