Must-Have: Experienced RN capable of working in ER and acute care.
Description: Small rural critical access hospital offers a unique
blend of western flavor and small-town appeal. The area is known
for its mineralized hot springs, providing a welcoming atmosphere
for visitors. This location is the gateway to exceptional fishing
opportunities and is home to notable historical sites. The
community is enriched with outdoor recreational activities such as
hunting, hiking, fishing, and camping. Winter recreation is
abundant with skiing and snowmobiling opportunities just a short
distance away. The role requires an experienced RN who can
confidently triage in the ER. The RN will be responsible for
overseeing CNAs and other nursing staff. Teamwork is essential, as
collaboration with fellow nurses is expected. There will be a
significant amount of assistance needed in long-term care including
rounds and toileting during the night. Each shift is staffed with
one RN, one LPN, and one CNA, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
The ER census is low, typically averaging one to two patients per
shift. Hospital patient census is also minimal, generally ranging
from one to two inpatients. Holiday coverage will be required.
