Surgical Tech Location: Havre, MT Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,480 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/4/2026 About the Position Surgical Technologist Nursing Surgical Technologist 13 weeks Day Shift - Rotating Call 8 hours per shift Minimum 3 years of experience Description: Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during surgical procedures. They provide technical assistance in the Operating Room and have knowledge relevant to the ages of the patients served. Essential job functions include preparing the room with the nursing staff for the surgical procedure in a timely and organized manner. They correctly practice the principles of asepsis. The Surgical Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all equipment in the Operating Room and Endoscopic Lab. They coordinate the care of the patient with the RN Circulator. They stock and replace supplies, prepare inventory sheets, and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures. They assist the physician during surgical procedures, ensuring correct instrumentation is organized and available. They follow verbal physician orders in the operating suite and handle surgical specimens. The Surgical Technician compiles the necessary equipment on the surgical field and documents unusual occurrences and other departmental forms as required. They perform CPR as needed and correctly and proficiently use all applicable instruments and equipment. They clean and wrap instruments for sterilization and transport patients to and from the Operating Room. They monitor surgical equipment for maintenance and repairs and complete duties as technical scrub in the Operating Room. They prepare the room and equipment for Endoscopy procedures. The Surgical Technician must maintain a cooperative disposition within the Operating Room. Other duties may be required. Holiday coverage is required.
