Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per
Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to triage safely,
rapidly, and accurately. - Strong communication skills to interact
with physicians and allied health staff. - Flexibility and
responsibility in patient care. Description: Provides direct and
indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Displays
initiative and responsibility indicative of professional
expectations with minimal supervision. Able to triage patients
based on physical, psychosocial needs, and factors influencing
patient flow. Communicates effectively with ER physicians and/or
advanced practice providers about changes in patient status.
Monitors symptomology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds
quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment
response. Works cooperatively with patients, families, physicians,
and healthcare professionals. Provides direction to emergency
department techs and registration staff. Receives direction from
emergency department leadership and providers. Holiday coverage
required.
