Job Description:
Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: TPD / 0.2 FTE Shift length: 12
hours Start Time: Variable Unit: Pediatrics Schedule Requirements
(including weekends, holidays): Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks
or 3-month evaluation period. Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may
be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period. Also,
two (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1)
summer holiday. Required qualifications: - Current state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school - BLS for
Healthcare Provider upon hire - PALS within six (6) months of hire
- One (1) to Two (2) years of pediatric experience Preferred
qualifications: - BSN - Pediatric experience - Pediatric
certification - Three (3) to Five (5) years of pediatric experience
Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes
nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating
nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department
through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education
to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader,
and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical
nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and
pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned
