Patient Access Scheduler - RehabilitationThe Staff Pad has
partnered with a hospital in Helena, Montana, to find a Patient
Access Scheduler for their Rehabilitation department. This role is
crucial in ensuring patients have timely access to therapy
services. You'll work closely with department leadership,
therapists, patients, and other staff to manage the scheduling
process from referral to appointment.Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments based on referrals, considering
patient needs and therapist availability.
- Obtain necessary information for authorization and
registration.
- Provide patients with essential information regarding their
appointments.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and physician
offices.
- Utilize electronic healthcare systems for scheduling and
patient information.
- Help maintain department productivity by managing therapist
schedules efficiently.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience.Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college
preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in hospital admissions, physician's
office, or professional work experience preferred.
- Experience in customer service or scheduling in a healthcare
setting highly preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate
professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and
handle interruptions.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.By
