Job Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW: PACU RNResponsible for assessing and preparing patient for surgery, monitoring and caring for patient during recovery phase and assisting and preparing inpatient transfer or discharge from facility.Directly cares for both medical and surgical observation patients that are admitted to observation beds from the emergency department, through direct admission, and/or post surgical status.SHIFT: Part Time; Day Shifts-Varied, participate in call rotation at the HospitalMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an registered nursing program.Current Montana license as a registered nurseBasic Nursing Principles and Procedures Critical Care Nursing experience preferred. BLS, ACLS,PALS, Med/Surgical or Critical Care Nursing recent hospital experience minimum of 2-4 years required.

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferredLICENSE/CERTIFICATIONCurrent Montana State Board of Nursing license as a Registered Nurse.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIESMedical Terminology. Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. Key Boarding Skills. Basic Office Skills.
