Responsible for direction of patient care in the acute care
setting. Manages all staff members on the nursing unit. Consults
with staff, physicians and Director of Women's and children's
Services on nursing care and interpretation of hospital policies to
ensure patient needs and safety are met. Maintains performance
improvement activities within the department and participates in
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the direction of the nursing staff.
Oversees all aspects of patient care in an environment that
optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients' needs are
met and hospital policy is followed.
Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's
response to treatment and evaluate the overall plan daily for

Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
Minimum of two to three years' experience in staff role.
Minimum of 1-3 years of Management Experience preferred
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in
