position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and
competitive management of the commercial and operational activities
required for a full-service grain elevator operation.Essential
Functions:Manage and direct all functions of operations to ensure
employees are engaged and adhere to safe work practicesResponsible
for originating grain in accordance with flexible marking and
origination programs to ensure that business plans are
achievedDirect, monitor, implement and maintain safety and
environmental programs and improvementsMaintain all compliance
records including but not limited to safety and environmental
documentationResponsible for facility logistics including barge and
rail, depending on the facility, with a focus on limiting and
reducing demurrageResponsible for fostering and growing customer
relationships along the value chainUphold and enhance Bunge s image
and reputation in the community in which we operate through ethical
conductManage grain inventories, grading processes, monitor grain
quality and capture blending opportunitiesDirect and supervise
employeesEnsure adherence to best practices, standard practices and
compliance with facility work practices and rulesEnsure safe and
efficient truck, rail and barge activities, based on facility
logistics structureConduct employee training, including safety
training, and strive for consistent operating practicesMaintain
facility housekeeping programs to ensure facility maintains
regulatory compliance as well as achieving all facility
housekeeping standardsParticipate in employee recruitment,
interviews and hiring process for hourly employeesBuild employee
relations and encourage a team environmentManage and ensure that
maintenance programs, including preventative and predictive
maintenance opportunities, are completedEnsure operational expenses
are within budgetResponsible for completing accounting and business
control activating including but not limited to: inputting
contracts, contract/ticket applications, customer reports, daily
activity reports, and month-end accountingSkill/Experience
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics,
Agricultural Business, Business or applicable related field is
preferred1-2 years applicable experienceExperience supervising
employeesAbility to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility
in a fast-paced, changing environment is criticalExcellent
communication (verbal/written) skills with ability to effectively
communicate internally and externallyFamiliarity of hedging on the
Chicago Board of Trade, grain contracting, and NGFA rules
preferredDemonstrated experience in the areas of safety,
productivity and teamworkFamiliarity in agriculture is
desirableSAP/GTM experience is requiredProficient with basic
computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Word, and
other technical software packagesAbility to prioritize and manage
multiple tasks and conflicting objectivesScheduleStandard but
