work depends on a Project Manager (PM II) joining our team to
support our software development and support contract.
This a remoted-based role. Candidate must live in the U.S.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Project Manager supporting
the Indian Health Service you will be trusted to work with
clinicians, developers, and federal staff to document changes and
requirements for clinical applications and solutions.
In this role, a typical day will include these tasks:
+ Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of
a variety of development efforts and projects ranging from simple
+ Supervise assigned project teams to ensure tasks are completed on
schedule and on budget, as well as within authorized scope.
+ Drive the development of high-level project plans, proposals,
reports, and reporting.
+ Conduct planning activities and provide recommendations to client
on task workload.
+ Participate in iterative software development teams with
adherence to all reporting requirements.
+ Analyze user and stakeholder needs to determine alignment with
business and functional requirements for a variety of electronic
health record systems and applications.
+ Attend and schedule customer meetings, keep and deliver meeting
notes, and serve as primary client liaison for their assigned
+ Coordinate the involvement of appropriate subject matter experts
across the project lifecycle, as needed.
+ Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings,
reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client
+ Write and update project documentation including user manuals,
presentations, and training materials.
+ Respond to inquiries from the client, clinicians, field
personnel, developers, and other customers.
+ Perform quality control and ensure quality assurance of project
+ Submit project status and other assigned reports to the PMO and
+ Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject
+ Participate in special projects as required.
+ Opportunity to work from home with a geographically dispersed
+ Occasional travel may be required.
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or clinical discipline,
or the equivalent combination of education, professional training,
or work experience.
+ 5+ years of experience with requirements analysis and engineering
using SDLC Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
+ Project Management Professional certification (PMP) or Agile
certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM or Scaled Agile SAFe
+ Experience managing change control activities, including product
backlogs, scope management, and impact and gap analysis.
+ Knowledge of system development methodology and project
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications, including
+ Experience managing multi-team development efforts.
+ Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with
adjusting priorities and deadlines.
**Security Clearance Level**
+ Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
+ Experience working with and knowledge of electronic health record
systems (EHR, Pharmacy, Immunizations, Practice Management, Revenue
Cycle Management, Clinical Quality Reporting) highly desired.
+ Knowledge of the Indian Health Service and/or Department of
Veterans Affairs environments.
+ Knowledge of Planview and/or Unanet.
+ Knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS or legacy
+ Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure
