Job description
This contingent position is located in Montana at Great Falls International Airport (GTF). We are a participant in the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Screening Partnership Program (SPP). This is not a firm position but one that DCS is pursuing via the business development process.
Project Manager(PM)
The Project Manager (PM) will act as the onsite point of contact for the contract in Montana at Great Falls International Airport(GTF), primarily dealing with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) client.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
PM will be responsible for writing technical sections in proposals to support business development for private and government bids. Must be able to take care of customer issues. Must be able to solve personnel and operational issues. Must have a solid grasp of U.S. labor laws. Monitor and evaluate security screening operations for quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement. Manage and assist in analyzing, planning, researching, and developing objectives and strategic plans to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability. Oversees and participates in development and research activities involving building on company strengths, identifying potential new markets and business opportunities, increasing market share, and obtaining a competitive position in the industry. Must engage and build rapport with the customers while being available to the customer 24/days.
Qualifications
Listed below are the required minimum skills and experience:
1. Formal certification in program/project management issued by the Federal Government (such as FAC-PM, DAWIA, or U.S. DHS) or certification issued by a non-government organization like the PMPĀ® credential issued by the Project Management Institute, OR
At least five (5) years of management experience in aviation security, airport operations, or personnel security services, demonstrated experience in supervising personnel in a Federal Government environment is highly desired.
2. At least seven (7) years of general management experience or three (3) years as a certified STSO or higher position; and
3. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively, efficiently, and professionally.
4. Bachelor's degree preferred but can substitute experience.
5. Government contracting experience is a plus.
6. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Software products, including Word Excel, Access, email, PowerPoint, and other presentation software. Should be experienced using Internet browsers.
Supervisory Responsibilities -Oversees all supervisors, leads, and security screening personnel.
Physical Demands -Travel estimated at 5%.
Decision Making - Make effective decisions in both crisis and routine situations.
Communication - Superior communication skills are required to communicate with the client and the public professionally and courteously. Must possess customer service skills, be dependable, and operate with integrity.
Security Requirements -Must be a U.S. citizen capable of receiving a Secret security clearance.
Equipment Used - PC-compatible computers and standard peripherals such as printers, mass storage devices, and optical scanners in addition to the operation of facsimile equipment.
Work Environment - General office setting at the airport. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
