Hand Finisher Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Entry-Level Fabrication Specialists - Hand Finisher to join our Boeing Helena Operations team located in Helena, Montana on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM). This position will work closely with manufacturing operations and assembly to produce hard metal airplane part details and assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The ideal candidate will have a background in hand finishing parts, use of hand tools, mechanical ability and machining while working in a collaborating and teaming environment with the ability to improve the daily work and quality improvement. Position Responsibilities: Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies Assists real time problem solving to understand and determine the true root cause to eliminate all defects and improve the product, process or system Assists and verifies that all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers Support a culture that is committed to continuous improvement Hold ourselves and team accountable to Boeing Behaviors and Values Be part of an environment of effective two-way communication (within team and across departments or shifts) Function as a team to work together to meet daily performance targets and achieve higher levels of safety, quality, and efficiency Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Experience using hand and/or air (pneumatic) tools Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Mechanics, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
