We are looking for a Feed Marketing Intern to work extensively with Cooperative Customers in the beef cattle sector to gather information about calves our cow-calf clients market and the cattle needs of our backgrounder/feedlot clients. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.ResponsibilitiesInteract (in-person and via telephone) with cow-calf customers to gather information for a database of calves available, along with their herd health and nutrition programs Work with backgrounding and feedlot clients to understand what they are looking for in the calves they purchase Solicit information that will help link cow-calf operators with feeding operations so that CHS-fed calves stay in the CHS nutrition program through harvest Gain insight from clients around future plans focused on cattle operation goals Travel daily throughout assigned territory to work in different geographies across the CHS Animal Nutrition business Generate written reports and present them to supervisor Work in and keep an environment that is compliant with state, local and CHS Environmental and Safety policy.Minimum Qualifications (required)Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Animal Science, or other Agriculture related degree program Proficient with MS Office Suite Valid driver's licenseAdditional QualificationsAgriculture experience or backgroundFeed and/or Livestock Experience Previous internshipPhysical RequirementsCHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
